LED Lighting enhances the overall effect of our features making them a simply stunning feature both day & night (additional cost – please contact us for pricing & suitability).
2100mm wide cascading (designed to trickle down the wall) sheer descent made in Grade 316 (Marine) stainless steel with a standard 20mm lip (lip can be altered to your requirements - additional cost) with three (3) rear or bottom inlets - 3/4" female stainless steel sockets.
These sheer descents can be utilized throughout the home and garden to create intriguing designs with pools, ponds, spas, rock features & troughs with a soft sound of trickling water (water trickles down the face of the feature/wall/rocks etc.). A simply stunning addition to any area.
The 316 GD stainless steel (Marine) makes it a far superior product when compared to 304 grade stainless steel ie. higher strength, superior corrosion and oxidation resistance. This product is ideal for landscaped areas & does not warp or break like the plastic/acrylic type sheer descents.
- While 316 is not completely rust-proof, the alloy is more corrosion resistant than other common stainless steels.
- Marine Grade 316 has Molybdenum added which gives a higher level of corrosion resistance and is most suited in aggressive environments such as where components will be subjected to salt water spray or even immersion. The Chromium present in the Marine GD 316 stainless steel causes a thin film to form on the surface thus providing the corrosion resistance. This film can be damaged by actions such as scratching or surface contamination by foreign materials such as salt, metal filings, pollution etc. When this surface rust is removed the metal usually self-heals.
- Marine Grade 316 stainless is the one to use in harsh marine environments. Its nickname is “marine grade” for a reason. It contains 18% chromium but has more nickel than 304 and adds 2-3% molybdenum. This makes it more resistant to salt.
